SPRA Spring Semi-Annual Settlers Park Clean Up took place on Sunday, April 14 from 2 to 3:30 pm

12 residents from Cottonwood Crt, Quail Valley Drive, Pine Knoll Gate and Dawn Hill Trail took part in SPRA Spring Semi-Annual Settlers Park Clean Up today, Sunday, April 14 from 2 to 3 pm.

12 residents from Cottonwood Crt, Quail Valley Drive, Pine Knoll Gate and Dawn Hill Trail and Ward Councillor cleaning Settlers Park April 14 2013Residents were very pleased to welcome Ward 2 Councilllor Howard Shore who joined us and worked with the residents collecitng debris and garbage left by careless visitors.

SPRA Spring Semi-Annual Settlers Park Clean Up - Sunday, April 14

Aftter 1.5 hours of work, all garbage bags provided by the city were full, although some areas further South were still left untouched. Overall, Northern part of the Park starting from the John St. Gate down to the German Mills Creek and further South and West was thoroughly cleaned up, whcih resulted in 15 full bags and bigger pieces of deris.

Thanks to the City we were allowed to leave the collected garbage bags and debris at the Park Gate and near the pump staiton for the City representatives to pick them up later this week.
