To celebrate our Park, say goodbye to the summer and just meet your neighbours and make new friends.
WHERE/WHEN: Event will take place at the Northern entrance to the German Mills Settlers Park (South from John St.) not far from the pump station on Sunday, September 9 from 4 pm to 6 pm.
WHAT TO BRING: Please bring an appetizer, snacks, a side dish, finger food, fruit, veggies, drinks and/or dessert. If you wish to have a BBQ, you could cook some at home, place in foil and bring to the table ready to go.
Since the picnic will be in a public area, it should be an alcohol-free event.
It would be nice if you can bring some folding table and chairs or a blanket to sit on, unless you prefer to stand around and chat with neighbours. In case of rain, please bring your umbrella (the event will only be cancelled if there is a real downpour).
We’d like to have some activities for kids and adults together, so bring skipping ropes, hula-hoops, kites, chalk etc.
WHO CAN ATTEND: Everybody is welcome! Feel free to distribute this invitation to your friends and neighbours, and bring your family and kids.
Email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 647-779-5839 if you have questions or suggestions about the event.
