Residents Cleaned the German Mills Settlers Park on June 10

We thank everybody who came and even brought your children to take part in the first community initiative of Settlers Park Residents Association to clean our precious green space German Mills Settlers Park!

It was fun and certainly helped make the park we all love so much to become cleaner and safer for the wildlife habitat. Families from the streets abutting the Settlers Park, including Cottonwood Crt. and Dawn Hill Trail took part in this community initiative and even Councillor Howard Shore joined us at the end of the mission 🙂

We really appreciate his participation and his time while speaking with community members. who asked him many disturbing questions about the status of our green space and plans of the Town to ensure that this unique wildlife habitat gets a proper protection from the Town. It seems like our Councillor became  much more involved into the problems that are so important to our community and we really count on his support!

The result of this morning is eight bags of garbage collected all over the German Mills Settlers Park, more community members’ questions answered by the  Councillor and happy residents who saw the results of their work – a cleaner and more beautiful park around us!
